About Me

"I love taking photographs and feel incredibly lucky to be able to capture and document the wonderful moments in my work"

As a mother and wife I know how important it is to make everything count. It was this knowledge and a holiday in Cyprus that ignited the passion that I have for photography. I discovered a side to Cyprus and myself that I never knew existed. So began my journey of exploration through the lens. Now my camera goes everywhere with me as you never know what is around the next corner or when the next great shot will present itself.

I approach photography of all kinds by creating an artful and intimate portrayal of the natural mood of the moment for all to enjoy. It is so rewarding when I get told that ´you could step right into´ this picture or ´reach out and touch´ something in another. Comments like that just reinforce everything that I do through the lens.

I have created a portfolio of some of my work and also a shop to enable you to purchase some of your favourites.

My Philosophy

What I do is second nature, it just happens. That's not to say it is accidental in anyway but it is something that I do without missing a step much like driving a car. It's only when people ask me to define my work that I take time to reflect.

For me a photograph is the end result of everything that goes into creating it. It's the perspective that goes into realising a shot. The passion and heart that drives me to pick up the camera. The wonderful opportunities that surround me. The time taken to get the shot that I want and the outcome which is the best thing of all. From my heart and mind into a moment in time for all to enjoy

Every shot is unique. No two photos are exactly the same. A photograph is of the moment, it is a point in time captured that will never be repeated.

If you lock most people in a room then they would initially explore the space and then after a while get bored and demand to be let out. If you lock a photographer in a room they would never tire. When you got to review the images you'd wonder if it was the same room at all.

My Equipment

Nikon Coolpix L16

My trusty 7 megapixel Nikon, where would I be without it? Every image in the portfolio has been captured with this camera and I'm still finding ways to get more out of it. I'm working it hard so that with any profits I make from selling my pictures and from donations I'll be able to place it into a well earned retirement and purchase a digital SLR.

If you like my work and would like to make a small donation to my camera retirement fund then I've included a PayPal donate button below.
